      Rotherham Advocacy      Partnerships

The Brelms Trust have kindly donated funding to RAP (and the PAS Project) to carry out activities which will empower parents in Rotherham to take part in parenting programes which have been especially developed for parents with learning needs or who are deemed to be vulnerable. Some of you may have had social care involvement, currently have social involved or at danger of social care involvement.
As you are probably aware RAP/PAS have lots of experience in supporting parents and some of you have most likely been to one of our course, perhaps at a Children’s Centre. We try to make the courses fun based but with a view to parents picking up the skills needed to satisfy health and social care.
Because the funding allows it, we are going to take part in some research being done though Sheffield Hallam University. The research is looking at how parents are being treated by health and social care and how you feel things can be improved. This is your chance to have your say and try to improve the service.
